WHERE DO THESE DONATIONS GO?

COMPETITION PREPARATION
Mock Trial requires a substantial amount of supplies and resources to prepare for and compete successfully. With three teams competing, these expenses quickly add up. Each team needs case boxes, binders, printed copies of affidavits, reports, exhibits, and the rules of evidence to ensure every student has the materials necessary to prepare their case.
Beyond these essential materials, our teams also rely on demonstrative aids and display stands, legal pads, pens, sticky notes, and organizational supplies. We also face recurring costs as case materials are updated, demonstrative aids are prepared, and supplies need to be replenished throughout the competition season.
Your donations help cover these expenses and allow our students to focus on what matters most: developing their arguments, strengthening their advocacy skills, and representing our school to the best of their ability. Every contribution, regardless of size, directly supports our teams as we prepare to compete.

TRAVEL COSTS
Each year, all three of our teams compete in at least five competitions, with the opportunity to advance to two additional rounds of competition. Across our program, that can mean traveling to more than 15 competitions throughout the year.
Travel is essential to giving our students the opportunity to compete, gain experience, and represent our school, but the expenses add up quickly. Donations help cover gas and transportation for shorter trips, airfare for competitions farther from home, and hotel or Airbnb accommodations for overnight stays.
Your support helps make these opportunities accessible to our students and ensures that the cost of traveling does not limit how far our teams can go.

TOURNAMENT FEES
USC Mock Trial has the privilege of being invited to competitions across the United States as we prepare for our competitive season in the spring. These tournaments give our teams valuable opportunities to face strong programs from across the country, gain competitive experience, and refine our cases before the official season begins.
However, attending these tournaments comes with significant registration and entry fees. With three teams competing throughout the year, these costs quickly add up. Your donations help cover tournament fees and allow our students to take advantage of these opportunities, ensuring that our teams can continue challenging themselves and preparing to compete at the highest level.
